Minecraft server monitoring
FastPing pings your Minecraft: Java Edition server with the same Server List Ping the game uses, so "online" means players can see it in their server list.

How it works
- FastPing connects to your server over TCP. Leave the port empty and it follows the _minecraft._tcp SRV record, like the game does.
- It requests the status: MOTD, version, players online, maximum players and a sample of player names when the server shares them.
- No answer twice in a row opens an incident and alerts your channels, for example your community's Discord.
What FastPing checks
- Online status
The server answers the status request within 8 seconds.
- Players
Players online and maximum on every check, charted over 24 hours, with an optional low-player warning.
- Version changes
An optional alert when the version changes, handy after updates.
- Latency
The response time of the status request, measured from Helsinki.
Set it up
Create a Game server monitor and choose Minecraft: Java Edition. Enter your server address, such as play.example.net, and leave the port empty if you use an SRV record. Attach a Discord webhook channel to tell your players automatically.
Frequently asked questions
If your question is not here, write to us. We reply by email, usually within one business day.
Contact supportMy server is behind BungeeCord or Velocity. What should I monitor?
The proxy's public address. The proxy answers status requests for the whole network, so the player count is the network total.
Why does FastPing show my server offline when it is running?
Check that enable-status is true in server.properties and that the server port is reachable over TCP from the internet, not only from your local network.
Does it work with modded servers?
Yes, as long as the server answers the standard status request, as modded and plugin-based servers normally do.
Can outages be posted to our Discord?
Yes. Add a Discord webhook as an alert channel and attach it to the monitor: down and recovery messages are posted automatically, with no bot to host.
