How it works
- FastPing sends a Steam A2S_INFO query over UDP to the server's query port.
- The reply contains the server name, map, players, maximum players and version.
- Two unanswered checks in a row open an incident and alert your channels.
What FastPing checks
- Online status
The server answers the query within 5 seconds.
- Players
Players online and maximum, charted over 24 hours, with an optional low-player warning.
- Map changes
An optional alert when the map or the version changes.
- Latency
The round trip of the query, measured from Helsinki.
Set it up
Create a Game server monitor and choose Steam / Source (A2S). Enter the server address and its QueryPort from your start-up parameters. Attach alert channels and save.

Contact supportDoes this work for ARK: Survival Ascended?
Not with game queries: Survival Ascended lists its servers through Epic Online Services instead of Steam queries. You can still monitor the host with a ping monitor, or the RCON port with a TCP port monitor if RCON is enabled.
Which port do I enter?
The QueryPort from your start-up parameters, 27015 by default.
Can I monitor a whole cluster?
Yes, with one monitor per server. Show them together on one public status page.
Can outages be posted to our Discord?
Yes. Add a Discord webhook as an alert channel and attach it to the monitor: down and recovery messages are posted automatically, with no bot to host.
