Minecraft Bedrock server monitoring
Bedrock servers speak a different protocol from Java servers. FastPing sends the same RakNet ping the game uses over UDP and reads the reply.

How it works
- FastPing sends an unconnected ping to your server's UDP port.
- The reply contains the MOTD, version, players online, maximum players, world name and game mode.
- No reply within 5 seconds, twice in a row, opens an incident and alerts you.
What FastPing checks
- Online status
The server answers the ping within 5 seconds.
- Players
Players online and maximum, charted over 24 hours, with an optional low-player warning.
- Version and world
An optional alert when the version or the world name changes.
- Latency
The round trip of the ping, measured from Helsinki.
Set it up
Create a Game server monitor and choose Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Enter the server address, and the UDP port if it is not the default. Attach alert channels and save.
Frequently asked questions
If your question is not here, write to us. We reply by email, usually within one business day.
Contact supportDo I need to open a TCP port?
No. Bedrock uses UDP, and the status ping goes to the same UDP port players connect to.
Can I monitor the Java and Bedrock editions of the same server?
Yes, with two monitors, one per edition, each with its own port and game setting.
Why is my server offline in FastPing but online in the game?
Check that the UDP port is open to the internet and not only to your local network, and that no firewall drops packets from unknown addresses.
Can outages be posted to our Discord?
Yes. Add a Discord webhook as an alert channel and attach it to the monitor: down and recovery messages are posted automatically, with no bot to host.
