Uptime badges and status widgets

Embed a live uptime or status badge in a README and a status widget with player counts on your website or server list: URLs, options and examples.

Última atualização: Leitura de 2 min

Where to find them

Open a monitor in the dashboard and scroll to Embed and share. It contains the badge and widget code for that monitor, ready to copy. Each monitor has a random public ID in these URLs, unrelated to its numeric ID.

Uptime badge

The badge is an SVG image showing the monitor's uptime:

Markdown
![uptime](https://fastping.app/badge/<public-id>.svg)
HTML
<img src="https://fastping.app/badge/<public-id>.svg" alt="Uptime">
OptionEffect
?days=1, 7, 30, 90Uptime period (30 days by default).
?type=statusShows the current status (up, down, warn, paused) instead of uptime.
?label=APIReplaces the left-hand text (up to 30 characters).

Colours: green from 99.9%, light green from 99%, amber from 95%, red below, and grey with no data before the first checks. Uptime is never rounded up, so 99.996% shows as 99.99%. Badges are cached for 2 minutes.

Status widget

The widget is a small card for websites, forums and server lists, embedded with an iframe:

HTML
<iframe src="https://fastping.app/widget/<public-id>" width="360" height="96" style="border:0" title="Server status"></iframe>

It shows the monitor's name and status, the server version when the check reports one, the response time, the 30-day uptime (players online for game servers) and a bar for each of the last 30 days. With JavaScript on, it reloads itself every 60 seconds, but not while someone is using it with the keyboard or has used it in the last 30 seconds. It follows the visitor's light or dark system setting (force one with ?theme=light or ?theme=dark) and uses the visitor's browser language when FastPing is available in it: English, Chinese (Simplified), Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese (Brazil), Indonesian, French, Japanese, Russian and German. The monitor's name opens FastPing in a new tab.

Several monitors at once: status page feeds

To show the state of several monitors on your own website, or to follow them in a feed reader or chat tool, use the feeds of a status page that lists them:

  • https://fastping.app/s/<address>/status.json: JSON with the overall state and every monitor's state and uptime. Any website may fetch it from the browser (cross-origin requests are allowed).
  • https://fastping.app/s/<address>/feed.atom and https://fastping.app/s/<address>/feed.rss: Atom and RSS feeds of incidents and maintenance.

The status page itself reloads every 60 seconds with JavaScript on, and visitors can stop that with its Pause updates button.

What they reveal

Badges and widgets set no cookies. They show the monitor's name, status, uptime, response time and, for game servers, the version and player count, but never the address being monitored. Anyone with the URL can view them, so only embed monitors whose name and status you are happy to make public.
